This wine is made to show off what the Syrah grape can do in Navarra, and it does very well. To add further complexity, the wine is then aged in oak barrels which really gives it a rich, aromatic, slightly spicy style.
Born of old Garnacha vines, grown at high altitude and on poor calcareous stony soils which yield high quality wines, the Particular Garnacha 2015 is a very clean, intense and bright wine. The drawing of a cross on its label reminds us of the ancient way in which winegrowers marked their bottles to differentiate them from each other in the cellar.

From the Aragonese town of Carinena, which gave its name to the grape (also known as Mazuelo). The soils are calcareous and stony and the vines ripen under a Mediterranean sun. In the bodega, pre and post fermentation maceration and malo-lactic are carried out in stainless steel tanks before the wine goes to barrel for ageing.
This Garnacha monovarietal, with only 4 months in the barrel, offers an intense nose of red cherries. On the palate there is lots of perfectly ripe Garnacha fruit which is balanced by soft oak notes giving a pretty complex wine for the money.

This wine proves the quality they are producing in Sicily these days. The vines are cultivated on clay soils at an altitude of between 300-600 metres, and the wine is fermented in small steel tanks and the Pinot Noir is aged in wood before blending.
