A classic blend from Rioja. The Viura variety blended with a touch of Malvasia to give it more depth. The palate is refreshingly zingy with apple and tropical fruits with just a hint of honey balanced by a nice lime acidity.
This is a classic unaged white Rioja. The grapes are grown to provide below average yields and are hand-picked and cold macerated before pressing for maximum aroma. Fermentation is in stainless steel tanks where the wine is given a little lees contact for a rounder feel before the two grape varieties are blended together, stabilised and bottled.
The name of this wine comes from the homonymous city located north of Lecce, an area of vineyards and olive groves, where you can find scattered farms and ancient watchtowers.The wine is produced with grapes from Negroamaro for the most part, and black Malvasia.
