This wine comes from the Reverdy family’s 15 hectares of vineyard in the Loire vineyards of central France. Sancerre is made on very calcareous stony soils on the other side of the river from Pouilly, which were once under the sea. All wines are domaine bottled.

100% Pinot Noir.
Malolactic takes place in a mix of tonneaux and vats where the wine rest for 6-8 months on fine lees before stabilisation and bottling.
Fairly pale bright grenadine colour with purple reflections.
Attractive and fresh aromas of ripe fleshy red fruits balance a trace of minerality, or “goutte de terroir” as the French say, one can smell the vineyards themselves.
Pinot Noir grown so far north tends to be light, but that is its attraction. Here we have a delicate yet very tasty elegant wine with lots of soft red fruit.
