Chablis wines follow the Burgundian vineyard classification system and this wine is from a single plot in the 1er cru Côte de Léchet vineyard on the slope to the west of the town of Chablis. The 6th generation of the Camu family controls a domaine of 13 hectares.

Tasting notes

100% Chardonnay.

6-8 months in cuve (vat) after first racking is sufficient and the wine is bottled about a year after fermentation.

Pale bright golden yellow with just a trace of green.

Fresh with the generosity of the Chardonnay but a crisper style than Côte D’or Burgundies. There is a slightly flinty mineral character from the clay of the vineyard and a gentle richness with notes of apple and yellow fruits.

Crisp, fresh and zippy at first then it opens out with more generosity and one feels one is tasting the vineyard where it was born. It is lively yet with a serious streak and very rewarding.
