Made from selected grapes grown in the bodega's 70 hectares of vineyard near Mendavia in the Rioja Baja where soils are calcareous over limestone and the vines are planted at high density to get more grapes, but smaller ones for maximum flavour. The wine is made at a very modern bodega but with 125 years of experience which really shines through in this wine.
