Bodegas Luis Canas make this Rioja from vines over 60 years old and limit the yield to only three bunches (racimos) per vine. The grapes are hand picked, thoroughly sorted and then fermented in French oak vats. The malo-lactic takes place in new French oak barrels before racking into into more new French oak barrels for ageing.

Deep, almost opaque blacky inky red with ruby highlights and a trace of violet at the rim.
Intense aromas of perfectly ripe brambles and blackcurrants with balsamic and mineral notes harmonise beautifully with a gently spicy creaminess from the oak and traces of toffee and milky coffee.
Concentrated flavours of black fruits and traces of cedar and vanilla. It has a terrific texture with finely honed tannins in perfect balance and a very long satisfying finish.
